Creating a New Sale
- 1From the main menu, select Sale Cards.
- 2Click the Sales tab.
- 3Click the "+ Create Sale" button.
Fill in the Create Sale form:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Sale Name | Yes | A descriptive name, e.g. "Week of Jan 27 – Grocery Specials" |
| Sale Type | Yes | Category: Weekly Special, Manager's Pick, Seasonal, etc. |
| Start Date | Yes | When the sale begins |

| Template | Yes | The card design to use (see Organization Templates below) |
| Banner Text | No | Optional promotional text — auto-fills based on sale type |
| Notes | No | Internal notes about the sale |
Your organization can set a default template in Settings. That template will be pre-selected whenever you create a new sale.
Adding Products
Option 1: Add Manually
- 1On the sale workspace, click "+ Add Product".
- 2Fill in Brand Name, Product Name, Sale Price (required), Size/Quantity, Original Price (optional), Savings (optional), and Tagline (optional).
- 3Click "Add".
After adding, you can edit any field directly in the product table — click on a field and type. Changes save automatically when you move to the next row. For Savings Text, Tagline, or Product Image use the More button at the end of the row.
Option 2: Bulk Import from Excel
- 1Click "Bulk Import" on the Products tab.
- 2Download the sample template for the correct column format.
- 3Fill in your product data. Required columns: Brand Name, Product Name, Sale Price, Size/Quantity. Optional: Original Price, Savings, Tagline.
- 4Upload your completed file.
- 5Review the preview and click "Import".
- 6Click directly on any product field in the table to correct details if needed.
Column names are flexible — "Brand Name", "brand_name", and "BrandName" all work.
Selecting Products for Print
Use the checkboxes next to each product to control which ones appear on your printed cards. Only checked products show in the Live Preview and print. Use "Select All" to quickly include or exclude everything.
Generating and Printing Cards
- 1From the sale workspace, click "Print" or navigate to the print page.
- 2Verify your template selection and banner text in the Settings tab.
- 3Set the grid layout (columns × rows) to control how many cards appear per page.
- 4The Live Preview updates in real time as you make changes.
- 5Click "Print" to open your browser's print dialog. Select your printer or "Save as PDF". Enable "Print background colors" for accurate color output.
Print a single test page before running a large batch to verify card size and color.
Understanding Grid Scaling
Grid scaling fits your cards onto a printed page while preserving their proportions. When you set a grid (e.g., 3×4), the system calculates the available space on a letter-size page with 0.5" margins and scales all cards equally to fill the grid.
| Template Size | Grid | Approximate Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 4" × 6" card | 2×2 | ~90% |
| 4" × 6" card | 3×4 | ~60% |
| 4" × 6" card | 4×4 | ~45% |
- Cards never scale above 100% — a small template won't be enlarged.
- Aspect ratio is always preserved; cards won't be stretched.
- All cards on a page are the same size.
Choosing Your Grid
| Goal | Recommended Grid |
|---|---|
| Large, easy-to-read cards | 2×2 or 2×3 |
| Standard shelf tags | 3×3 or 3×4 |
| Small price labels | 4×4 or higher |
| Maximum cards per page | 4×4 (16 cards) |
Working with Organization Templates
Organization templates give your store a consistent branded look across every sale. Only your team can create or edit them.
Switching Templates Mid-Sale
- 1Open the sale workspace.
- 2Click "Edit Sale" and select a different template.
- 3Save changes.
Best Practices
- Create templates for different purposes: weekly ads, shelf tags, department-specific cards.
- Set your most-used template as the default in organization settings.
- Test new templates with a sample sale before using them in a live sale.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Cards too small to read | Reduce grid size (fewer columns/rows) |
| Colors don't match preview | Enable "Print exact colors" in the browser print dialog |
| Cards cut off at edges | Check printer margins — use 0.5 inch minimum |
| Template not showing | Refresh the page; check if the template was deleted |
| Wrong products printing | Verify the correct sale is selected; check product checkboxes |
